Sonamó is a San Francisco-based global groove band with an Italian backbone, blending Mediterranean funk, jazz, Latin rhythms, Afrobeat, Brazilian influences, acid jazz, and selected rock elements into a sound built on groove, warmth, and cultural openness.

Founded by Giuseppe “Pino” Pinto, the band brings together high-level musicianship and dance-floor energy without losing its human center. Sonamó’s music is cosmopolitan and rhythm-driven, rooted in Italian and Mediterranean sensibility while drawing from the pulse of the Bay Area and beyond.

Their album Eclectic Radio captures that identity in full: bold, multilingual, and built to move. From the crossover energy of “Ma Che Vuó” to the deeper grooves of “Switch It Off” and the emotional warmth of “Per Te,” Sonamó creates music that feels joyful, sophisticated, and alive.

On stage, Sonamó is not a cover act, background band, or generic fusion project. The live show centers original music, sharp musicianship, and inclusive groove, with select tributes reimagined through the band’s own sound. The result is a vibrant live experience that invites people in and lifts the room.
